It all began freshman year at Nazareth Academy. As many of you know, Naz has a special way of bringing people together. Although Gabi and Steven did not share any classes or run in the same circles of friends, they met through the spring musical Beauty and the Beast. They were cast as the Beast and Belle.

Steven was captain of the football team and one of the most popular boys in school; Gabi was a dedicated student and theater kid who was scared of performing. No one could have predicted that this freshman on stage romance would lead to a real life fairy tale.

As the years went on in school, Steven and Gabi never dated but knew they had a special bond with each other. They continued to get closer during each musical (Grease, Joseph & the Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Les Miserables) but they lost touch after graduation.

Gabi & Steven occasionally saw each other at Chicago Blackhawks games over the years. If you ask Steven, their first date was at a Blackhawks game in 2015. If you ask Gabi, they didn't date until reconnecting at their friends' wedding two years later.

As the story goes, Gabi and Steven dated for some time and then parted as friends. Timing was everything. In 2024, the stars finally aligned. Gabi and Steven knew that this was it.

Steven decided that the next leg of their journey should start where their story began. So on October 12, 2025, Steven got on his knee in the Naz theatre to ask Gabi to be with him forever. She said yes.

They are so excited to celebrate their love with their friends and family, and they cannot wait to have the best night with all of you!
